FCS Kickoff Classic

Good Evening,

Welcome back to the start of a new school year!

On July 29th, Floyd County Schools will be hosting the Inaugural Floyd County Schools Kickoff Classic.  It will be very different from the "one and done" from previous years. It will be an all day professional development day that will have in-house and out of district speakers in a conference setting. There will be 6 sessions with Keynote speakers and concurrent sessions in classrooms. You will be able to choose which sessions to attend. We are really excited about the variety of topics that are being presented as keynotes in the MHS Auditorium and in smaller classroom size concurrent sessions. Thank you to all our FCS employees that are presenting and being a teacher of teachers at the FCS Kickoff Classic!

Please map out your sessions using the FCS Kickoff Classic Website. Although we may have a few changes as they arise, this will be the session list for the FCS Kickoff Classic. Tomorrow, you will be given more details and the lunch registration link. However, know that lunch sessions are going to be rather full due to the serving of close to 1,600 attendees during 6 lunch sessions in 2 lunchrooms. Schedule your day and be prepared to choose a lunch session for registration. Lunch registration will go live at 8am Tuesday morning and closes at 4pm Wednesday afternoon.

Transportation, nutrition, facilities, and custodians only: this is your schedule. In addition, you do not have to register for lunch.

Thank you,

Barbara Smith
